What You’ll Do

• Conduct various tests and inspections on construction materials, including:
  • Concrete
  • Soil
  • Asphalt
  • Aggregate
• Prepare and deliver samples
• Record data and prepare reports
• Equipment Operation and Maintenance

Who We’re Looking For 

• Education: Associate’s degree in civil engineering technology, materials science, or a related field preferred; relevant certifications are a plus.
• Experience: Previous experience in a construction materials testing laboratory is advantageous but not required.

Skills

• Familiarity with construction materials and testing standards.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data recording.
• Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions

• Primarily based in an outdoor environment, with fieldwork required for material sampling and site inspections.
• May involve standing for extended periods and lifting moderate weights.

The Opportunity 
We are hiring Geologists at multiple levels (Entry through Senior) to support geotechnical and environmental projects. These roles include both office and field responsibilities, with opportunities to advance as you gain experience. 

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit permit applications. 
• Assist with scheduling, subcontractor coordination, and field investigations. 
• Conduct soil, rock, and environmental sampling. 
• Log and process field data for reporting. 
• Support geotechnical design projects in transportation, water/wastewater, and storm damage recovery. 

Qualifications 

• B.S. in Geology, Engineering Geology, or equivalent. 
• Entry-Level: internship preferred. 
• Staff Geologist I–III: 1–6 years of experience. 
• Senior Staff Geologist: 6+ years, with leadership/client-facing experience.
